Classical Pilates
"In 10 sessions you will feel the difference, in 20 you will notice the difference, in 30 you will have a whole new body."
— Joseph Pilates
Classical Pilates is a true mind-body method, every movement is controlled by thought, breath, and precision. Trish teaches the authentic method with 30+ years of expertise, tailoring every session to your body and your goals.
What is Classical Pilates?
Developed by Joseph Pilates, the method systematically exercises all muscle groups — weak and strong alike. It combines the suppleness of yoga with the strength of gym training, creating natural balance and poise throughout your body.
Regular practice builds deep awareness of your posture, strengths, and weaknesses. With Trish's guidance, you'll learn not just the exercises, but the purpose behind every movement — the legacy Joseph Pilates left behind.
Today followed by dancers, athletes, physiotherapists, celebrities, and health professionals worldwide.

The 8 Principles of Pilates
What separates Pilates from every other form of exercise — taught in every class Trish delivers.
Concentration
Every movement is controlled by thought. You block out distractions and focus completely on the movement.
Breathing
Breathe out on the greatest effort. Deep abdominals contract, with breath moving sideways through the ribcage.
Centring
Your centre is the 'powerhouse' — every exercise controlled by the contraction of the abdominal muscles.
Control
Slow, deliberate movements working against gravity. There is no rushing through Pilates.
Precision
The body is placed in exact position at the start of each movement. Quality always over quantity.
Flowing Movement
Continuous, even speed throughout every exercise. No jerking or throwing — everything flows.
Isolation
Find and isolate the working muscles whilst eliminating unnecessary involvement of others.
Routine
Repetition leads to results and skill refinement. Consistent practice is where transformation happens.
